Frenchay Church of England School was founded (as Frenchay National School) in1842, and the school was built on land donated by Hannah Rooke of "The Big House" (now called Frenchay Park). The present headmistress, Carol Thorne, has assembled a fascinating collection of school-related objects and documents from the school and from her own collection. ![]() View of the school from across Frenchay Common H J Wadlow, Headmaster of the School from 1894 to 1923, has an interesting story. |
