SCHOOL EXHIBIT

Some of the objects which could be found on a 19th century teacher's desk. From the collections of the school and of Headmistress Carol Thorne.		 Frenchay Church of England School was founded (as Frenchay National School) in1842, and the school was built on land donated by Hannah Rooke of "The Big House" (now called Frenchay Park).
     The present headmistress, Carol Thorne, has assembled a fascinating collection of school-related objects and documents from the school and from her own collection.
